Welcome day

On September 29, the official welcoming ceremony of the participants of the Miss Wheelchair World 2017 contest took place at the Radisson Blu Sobieski, with The Only One Foundation as the competition organizer and representatives of the City of Warsaw as the host.

On September 30th and October, 1st Finalists attended the video recording, photo and coaching sessions. Participants presented themselves in the evening and national costumes that impressed us a lot. These were two extremely busy days, and the effects of these activities will be presented soon. Meanwhile, we unveil a glimpse of the whole thing…

Trip night

Yesterday in Multicultural Center we experienced adventures with the wheelchairtrip.com team and Miss Wheelchair World Finalists who were presenting situations of people with disabilities in their countries.

Planting trees

On Monday, 2nd October, the participants of the Miss Wheelchair World 2017 competition planted flowering apple trees in the Jazdów Estate, which not only made Warsaw more beautiful but also served to commemorate a competition that in just a few days, for the first time ever, is to be held in Warsaw. The apple trees were planted by Ewa Malinowska-Grupińska, Chair of the Warsaw City Council, Michał Olszewski, Deputy Mayor of Warsaw, Katarzyna Wojtaszek, President of The Only One Foundation, Karolina Malczyk, Plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Warsaw for Equal Treatment, and Miss Wheelchair World 2017 participants.

The Miss Workshops were intensive in its course, and their most important point was choreography. Every outcome, prepared by Anna Bubnowska and Anna Osipiuk was perfectly adapted for our Finalists, to enable them to move with charm and real grace.
